WHAT ARE DENTURES?
Dentures also known as false teeth are an artificial replacement of one or several of the teeth (partial denture), or all of the teeth (full denture) of either or both jaws dental prosthesis.
Dentures are of two types on the basis of number of teeth it replaces.
Complete Denture:- Complete dentures are advised when all the teeth are missing.
Partial Denture:- Partial dentures are applied when some natural teeth are missing.
Dentures are of two types on the basis of material used for its fabrication
porcelain denture:-
Porcelain dentures look more natural and match easily with the remaining teeth. But porcelain, if dropped, will break easily and can wear down the remaining teeth hence, are better used as complete dentures rather than partial.
Acrylic denture:-
Acrylic resin dentures, on the other hand, are light in weight and easy to adjust. They fit properly and make the jaw movement smoother.

Denture Procedure:-
- Doctor will first take the impression of jaw and do analysis on that.
- Doctor will create a dummy wax model as per impression taken, finally made a Denture as per wax model and places all teeth on it.
- Final Denture is made with the wax model with all the teeth in it.
- Doctor till try this Denture on patient, if required Doctor will make final adjustment.
